We are back home now and mostly recovered from our jet lag.  I wanted you to

know how much we enjoyed our tours with you.  We had a great time with you

touring Rome.  Andreas did a fabulous job showing us the Vatican, and the

day with Robert in Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano was incredible.  Professor

Michaella's tour of Pompeii was a pleasure.  Feel free to use me as a

reference if you have people with questions about your services.  I'll be

happy to answer any e-mails about the tours.  Thank you again for setting up

these experiences for us.

Hi Manilo,
Sorry we have not been in touch before now but things have been very busy since we came home from our wonderful holiday. We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful two days we shared with you. Our visit to Rome was just so special and it was all down to you. We hope to come back to your lovely City some day for a longer visit and we would like to spend more time in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. I will give your card to our Travel Agent and hope you get some more business from it. I hope all is well with you and your family and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.
With Best Wishes

Just a quick note to say we have returned safely to Canada and to thank you for the great tours you provided us in Naples, Rome and Florence. Your excellent service and professional approach was much appreciated. We would not have been able to experience these places in the same way with out your and Paulo's excellent guidance. Well done . Please feel free to use us for reference for anyone interested. Duncan On 2010-10-05

Dear Manilo and Staff,

Thank You for making our trip to Roma a great experience.  Your staff was very professional and attentive, starting with Andreas when he picked us up at the airport.   With his guidance, we thoroughly enjoyed the Papal Basilicas and major cathedrals tour on our very first day in Rome.  Traveling with my mother-in-law, he made sure that we did not have to walk very far.  Any request we had, he was willing and able to accommodate. The other drivers were equally friendly and helpful as well with showing us around and recommending places to eat. Our trip to Florence was just as memorable.  Seeing all of the sites makes us want to go back again, and hopefully soon.  I also enjoyed our discussion together.  It's remarkable how similar our lives paralleled each other while coming from two different worlds. With your recommendation, we also absolutely enjoyed our dinner at Michaelini's. The entire staff (especially Michealangelo) at the restaurant was great and very friendly and the food was excellent.  We would definitely recommend anyone we know to call you when they travel to Roma.

Attached is a picture of our family in Florence.

All our best,
Regan and Ria Look

Manilo,

After concluding our cruise Sunday the 13th we arrived home the 15th.  It's always nice to get home no matter what length of trip one has been on.  Fall is in the air here with much cooler temperatures.  Soon, well in November, we will have snow the will last the winter.

My wife and I wish to thank you for the Rome tour on the 3rd.  While we saw many interesting places on this cruise there is no doubt but that Rome was, "over the top!"

Your CV1 tour is definitely a good value for anyone.  The fact that you were able to take us places by car that the tour buses could not go was a great advantage both in time saved and convenience.  We throughly enjoyed the conversation with you as our tour wound through the city.  It is obvious that you love the city and its people.  Your attention to small details was most welcome.

The resturant we stopped at was absolutely superb.  It was nice to enjoy a meal next to the business men and women of Rome who were there for lunch.

Our Vatican guide gave us a guided tour we will never forget. She was personable and very, very well versed in the highlights and history of the Vatican venues we visited. She made it a memorable experience we will never forget.

Please feel free to use us as a reference for those inquiring about your services.

Thanks again for the experience that will last a life time.

Dear Manilo, Having just returned to cold and rainy West Michigan after a WONDERFUL cruise of the Mediterranean, our first order of business is to write you to thank you for our EXCEPTIONAL experience touring Rome under your great care and guidance. For us, it was a real high-light of our two week cruise and it was because of your attention to detail, being sure that we saw as much as is humanly possible when you only have one day in Rome!

The word I used in my journal to describe 'our Rome experience with Manilo' was CLASSY! You have great knowledge which gave us such insight into what we were seeing. A real bonus was your driving the narrow streets, bypassing hoards of traffic whenever possible and parking so close to the many sites we visited. The big excursion coaches parked great distances that we were able to avoid! You saved us priceless time by making reservations at the Colliseum and at the Vatican so we avoided HUGE lines. You also made arrangements in advance for us to have a private guide of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica.

Dr.Laura DeAngelis whisked us past lines and gave us great descriptions of all that we were seeing. She made what could have been an overwhelming tour of the Vatican very interesting and worthwhile despite the enormous crowds of other visitors. We certainly greatly appreciated her guidance!!

Although we could have spent hours at each site we visited, you enabled us to get a wonderful overview of this amazing city and we are so grateful. Compromise is a 'must' when you have limited time and your advice helped us make good decisions. You are a very professional, patient, knowledgeable and kind young man and we just want to thank you so much for our special day in Rome. We will never forget you and will recommend your services with pleasure. Thank you and God Bless You and your family. Nancy and Don Kelley (Wayland, Michigan)

Thannk you so much for the excellant tour that you gave my friend and I while we were in Rome. It was such a pleasure viewing the city from the Janicullum Hill and having real cappucino. Again thank you so much.

Dear Manilo

Hi Manilo, We wanted to thank you for making our trip to Rome very enjoyable. Below is the posting I have put on TripAdvisor. It goes without saying that we would not hesitate to recommend you. With every good wish. Stephen and Denise Taylor.

We have just returned from a 7 day Spanish cruise out of Barcelona. As we don't speak much Spanish we decided to find our own way around the stops at Tunis, Palermo, Pisa and Villefranche. However, we decided to 'push the boat out' and treat ourselves to a private tour of Rome. We wish to return at some point and wanted to get an overview of the city from a local on our day trip. Before we left for our cruise we spent much time on Tripadvisor noting many other people's experiences and eventually settled on Manilo of www.limousineserviceinrome.com. We were picked up from the port at 8am and it took around 45 minutes to drive into the city. He took us to a high vantage point as our first stop and explained the ancient history of Rome. It was a cold day and we were so pleased that we had the vehicle there awaiting us at all times. We fancied coffee and he took us to a typically local place in a narrow backstreet. Charming in itself. We then drove to the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Theatre of Marcellus, Circus Maximus and Capotiline Hill. Manilo described everything really well and was very knowledgable and very interesting. We then discussed what we fancied for lunch and he took us, again, to a

local restaurant for a plate of pasta. The place buzzed and the food was great and the bill was very reasonable.

We then continued on our tour to the Trevi Fountain, Piazzo Nova and Pantheon finishing at the Vatican. During our tour Manilo took us to some other places of fantastic interest and showed us some sites that the everyday tourist would not have seen and these proved to be the most memorable. Manilo offered us the choice to go inside sites that other people might wish to see where we would not have to queue in line but we chose not to. However others might think this is a great service to take advantage of. Drivers have to be registered and Manilo was very adept at getting us about in the notorious Rome traffic and because of his status could drive us very close to the attractions that coaches could not get close to. As an added extra my husband was suffering with seasickness and Manilo drove us to a Farmacia after he suggested that other tourists had spoken of a patch to wear behind the ear. We'd not heard of this and felt anything was worth a go. It was miraculous and worked a treat. We would have paid the price of the trip with Manilo (400 euros) to have a consultation to treat the seasickness! - so we felt we'd had terrific value. Will definitely be using him again on our return

Although it has taken a couple of weeks we would like to thank you so much for our brilliant day in Rome in which I'm sure we didn't miss much.

You did a fantastic job and we have the photos to prove it.

We will certainly be recommending your services and if any of your clients would like to ask about our trip please do not hesitate to let us know.

Kindest regards

Maureen & Ramon Green

Manilo -

I wanted to take a minute to thank you on behalf of all of the McBride's for your fantastic help during our recent visit to Rome.  All of your hard work really made our stay very special and we'll cherish the memories you helped to create for years to come.  Thank you so much.

I know that providing all of the transportation, private tours and dining arrangements for 18 people (ranging in age from 15 to 50) can very challenging; but you handled them effortlessly - even the last minutes
changes we requested!   From the time you met us at the airport, until you
dropped us off at our ship in Civitavecchia three days later, we could not have hoped for a better host in Rome.  Your knowledge of Rome, along with your choice of drivers and guides to assist you, were only topped by your choice of restaurants - which we are still talking about.

Finally, I especially want to thank you for the special effort you made to take all of us to Castlegandolfo.  Now we can all say that we saw the Pope at his summer "cottage".

Thanks again and we all hope that we can return the favor of showing you our hometown of Philadelphia, PA next time you visit the USA.  Until we meet again - Ciao!

Manilo, thank you so much for making our trip to Rome so memorable. You were fantastic. You were always right on time, and I can not tell you how happy I was to see you holding a sign with our name on it at the airport, after our long over night flight to Rome. You took such good care of us.

You are extremely knowledgeable about everywhere you took us in Rome. We never could have seen all these sights on our own. Your professionalism and presentation were outstanding. Thank you for helping us find restaurants, and joining us for lunch. After two days, it is like you are now part of our family.

I also want to thank you for assisting us in getting guides for our day at the Vatican, and helping us find Paolo in Florence. They were excellent choices.

Believe me the next time we are able to come back to Rome, we will be calling you!

Best wishes to you and your family always.

Dear Manilo:

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to send you this thank you, but we have been going non-stop since our return.  We are so grateful for all that you did to make our trip such a memorable one, from start to finish!  Having you at the airport when we arrived in Rome was such a comfort, especially with the rainy day!  Touring the countryside and stopping for wine and necessities on our way to the ship made a lovely start to our journey.  Your kindness, flexiblity and professionalism impressed all of us.

Our tour of Rome at the end of our cruise was fabulous!  We saw and experienced so much in one day and without ever feeling rushed or hassled.  I would recommend you to anyone visiting Rome or the area surrounding; I have actually already done so!  You are filled with so much knowledge about Rome, coupled with a true love for the city and its history, that you make the past come alive.  I was happy that we got to see the catacombs this time and thoroughly enjoyed our unique, unforgettable lunch.  From start to finish, it was a day to remember!

That you came and got us so early the next morning to transport us to the airport was the icing on the cake.  We can not thank you enough for all of your kindness and true consideration for our comfort and enjoyment.  We will definitely plan to see you when next we visit Italy, and will be happy to provide a good reference if you ever need one.  In the meantime, may God bless you and your family with all good things.

Manilo, It was great to see you again. Thank you so much for a spectacular day in Rome. Our family was so impressed and your other driver/guides were fantastic. Your friends, David & Janette Campion

Anna Skamarakas

When planning our trip to cruise the British Isles, I came up with the brilliant idea that we could go a couple of days early, and visit Rome.  When we last visited, Dot and Russ were rushed through the important parts of the trip, and Dot really had her eye on a book they sell to tourists with beautiful pictures of the whole area.  Time did not permit her to pick up a copy of the book, so I figure a quick visit to Rome - since we’re in Europe anyway, and everything in Europe is so close to everything else (did I mention I got a D in Geography?) - will allow them the chance to maybe see the Pope and get that book.

Of course when I came up with this great idea, I gave no thought to the fact that we would be in Rome.  In a hotel.  Carless.  Clueless.  Oh, and we don’t speak Italian.  Among the 7 of us, Granuaile is the one who most closely sounds like she COULD be speaking Italian sometimes (well, at least we don’t always understand her); and among the rest of us, we know how to say Pizza; Pasta; and Orangiata (this will get you an orange soda in some places).  So now we have to find a car, a driver, and an English speaking tour guide.  I head to the web, where all the world has to offer can be found, and I start to browse Rome, limo services, and tour guides.  I find a bunch.  No, really, a bunch.  Like way more than you would want to have to weed through if you have a whole year to plan.  We only have a few weeks.

While browsing, I come across the website for Limousine Service in Rome, and there is an adorable video on the site.  Of course, Manilo is handsome and Italian.  And handsome.  And Italian.  Oh, and handsome.  And the video has beautiful Rome in the background, with the beautiful sound of Church bells in the background.  And handsome, Italian Manilo doing the talking.  I send an email, and in no time at all, I am on the phone with Manilo to get some of the details.

Now, I will tell you that from the time I first talked to Manilo, we went from just getting transfers from the airport to the hotel, to adding a day of touring on Saturday, to adding a day to see the Pope in Castel Gandolfo on Sunday, to cancelling Saturday, to touring Saturday.  Yes we made an adjustment or two to the itinerary.  Through it all, Manilo was patient, helpful, and never once cursed at me in English OR Italian for not knowing what the heck I wanted in the first place (this is not to say he didn’t curse after he hung up the phone or backed away from the computer, but he was considerate enough to keep it to himself!).

The first thing Manilo did was advise us that because we were coming in August, and our big tour day was Sunday, that we should not expect to see Pope Benedict at the Vatican.  He spends the month of August at his vacation home in Castel Gandolfo, a fact we completely overlooked.  Had it not been for Manilo, we would have missed the opportunity to see the Pope at all, but it turned out that we were so much closer to His Holiness in the more intimate setting of the courtyard of his vacation home than we would have ever been at St. Peter’s Basilica.  Not only that, but Manilo arranged a WONDERFUL lunch for us at il Ristorante Bucci, with a view that was beyond breath taking.  But I am getting ahead of myself…

We spent Saturday seeing things that everyone goes to Rome to see - the Forum, the Coliseum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain - and at each place, Manilo is able to bring us up so close that most of the time, even Dot can get out and enjoy the scenery, despite her mobility issues.  Even with increased security concerns around St. Peter’s, Manilo is able to allow us to get out without too much of a walk to the square, and he makes it back to pick us up.  That was so appreciated!  And then we see things that we have never seen on our past visits to Rome, like the keyhole view of St. Peter’s.  It was an amazing day, riding in absolute comfort.  The girls even all fell asleep during the tour, they were so comfortable.

Then on Sunday, Manilo arrived bright and early to transport us for the wonderful day at Castel Gandolfo.  As I said, he chose a restaurant that was so wonderful, we will be talking about it for years to come.  He arranged a perfect table for us, and when we invited him to join us for lunch, he ordered a meal that was quickly copied by nearly everyone at our table, much to their delight.

After a wonderful afternoon, Manilo took us for an amazing hilltop view of all of Rome, and had us back at the hotel in time to wash up, relax and get ready for dinner.

Manilo also did a VERY early morning transfer back to the airport for us on Monday morning - an arrangement I had not made ahead of time.  We were grateful, and lucky, he was available.

If you ask my 7 year old daughter what her favorite part of the entire 2 week vacation was, she will tell you it was the two days with Manilo.  He speaks English beautifully, so we never had any difficulty understanding him; and his knowledge and expertise regarding the history of Rome and the must see locations is incredible.  We never felt unsafe or uncomfortable in his car, and despite doing several organized group tours in Rome before, we feel like we got a much better view of this beautiful city through Manilo’s eyes.

I would not hesitate one second to use this service again - and since we threw our coins in the Trevi Fountain, I believe we are guaranteed a return trip.  We cannot wait until the opportunity to go back to Rome presents itself again.  We only hope Manilo is available then to show us his wonderful city.

Our Magnificent Day Tour of Rome

While hundreds of other cruise passengers were boarding their crowded busses at the Port of Civitevecchia for their “follow-the-leader” walking tours of Rome, my family of six entered a new, air conditioned van with our driver/guide (and now friend) Manilo Tranquilli for the exciting tour of a lifetime. With only one day to spend in Rome, we wanted to experience as much of this beautiful and historic city as possible. That meant we had to move quickly from sight to sight, park in close proximity to the sight, and avoid waiting in long lines to purchase tickets.

I determined that the best way to accomplish this was to pre-arrange a private tour with an English speaking driver/guide. I found Manilo through this web-site and decided to contact him by e-mail. To my surprise, Manilo called me, and I discovered over the phone that he was a very warm and knowledgeable guide who spoke fluent English. By this personal touch we were able to work out a wonderful itinerary, with maneuvering room for additional stops he might suggest along the way. Within two days after our initial contact, the tour for my family was arranged.

Of course my family wanted to visit the famous Colosseum. To save an enormous amount of time, Manilo pre-arranged for us to purchase tickets at a short stop where we also enjoyed a brief coffee break. Then we proceeded directly to the Colosseum. Manilo was able to park just outside, which tour busses can not do. We walked right passed a line of at least 200 people waiting to buy tickets, saving us an hour at the very least. The Colosseum is a must for any visitor to Rome, and Manilo can get you in with no hassle. Then we went on to visit Circus Maximus, the Forum (great picture view without a long hot walk through the ruins), the Pantheon, and several other sights Manilo picked out for first time visitors. Then Manilo took us on a short trip on the Appian Way to a quaint restaurant where we were greeted by very friendly owners and waiters with Wine and delicious food. We got our “Taste of Rome” in a truly Roman and hospitable environment. That is a dining experience none of us will ever forget.

After lunch we went on to other beautiful sights and experiences including Trevi Fountain, and the famous Spanish Steps. We concluded our trip with a visit to the Vatican where we could park for pictures of St. Peter’s Cathedral, without a long walk and without queuing. Now, the day tour completed, it was back to our ship. The tour was everything we had imagined and more. The cost was most reasonable for all we had experienced. We truly felt we had maximized our time in Rome.

Manilo was so very warm and personable the entire time. He accommodated our every desire. I can still see his warm smile with the final “Ciao,.” and feel like I have a new friend in Rome. We most highly recommend Manilo and “Limousine Service In Rome” to make your visit the best experience ever.

Manilo, I would like to comment that the services you have provided us while we were in Naples, Amafia Coast, Rome were inpeccable. The drivers were always on clock work and picked us up on time, and were very Professinally dressed, and well versed of the area. You did an exceptionable job of easing any worrys about catching trains, planes. Your tour of Rome that you personally did was just marvelous and extremely enjoyable. We really loved the two hour night tour of Rome. Thanks so much. Diane Lowery and Son

We are back in Dallas and had a great time in "Bella Roma". We are sorry we missed you, but Alessandro did a wonderful job. It was a pleasure to have him as a guide to show us all we could see in a short period of time.
We could not have asked for more from him. Please thank him so very much from us. We hope one day to again visit your beautiful city and you can be assured we will only contact you for our tours. Anyone I know traveling to Roma I will give them your name.
Take care and we do hope to meet you someday in Roma!

On behalf of myself, my husband Jim, and my sister Susanne, I want to

thank you for a wonderful tour of the city of Rome this past July. I

wanted to see as much as I could in the two days that we had in Rome and thanks to you and your most professional company that was accomplished better than I ever expected. You are the most interesting, knowledgeable, respectable and professional tour guide that I ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I want to thank you for making our trip so enjoyable and I feel like we developed a wonderful friendship in only one day. I will recommend your company to all my family and friends who visit Rome. I hope to have the opportunity to see you again in the future. Thank you again and if you are ever in New York I would love to show you Long Island. You can allow me to be your tour guide.
